They say you need to be in the room. How about helping to lead it?

On 7 October, our co-founder Dr Lara Zibners chaired the WHH Women’s Health Horizons Washington, D.C. Summit. WHH held it at the Nat’l Union Building in special partnership with the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) and Women’s Health Advocates. Lara brought energy, expertise and wit, alongside an outstanding group of speakers and panelists.

Everyone working in women’s health knows it’s an uphill fight. A lot of that fight is decided in Washington: what research gets funded, whether that research looks at how women and men respond differently, and what gets reimbursed. Getting those decisions right takes allies, advocates and a wider understanding of what is at stake for women (and in turn the health and wellbeing of everyone). Rooms like this one are where that support is built.
