We do not believe many other London based start-ups have their own labs to be able to manufacture products, but here at Calla Lily Clinical Care, we have done exactly that. All of our Callavid® design validation and clinical trial products started their production here in London.

Now that our clinical trial is underway, our operations team are focused on scaling up production to be able to meet commercial volumes. Scaling is much more challenging that people realise. Making 10 prototypes is relatively easy, making a few thousand products of consistent quality is somewhat more difficult. Then scaling up to make 100k’s per week, still at the same level of quality, but also at much lower cost per unit is the real challenge.

Thankfully, many of our team have worked in high volume manufacturing plants in their careers and have delivered similar challenges many times before. Equally as important, we have the right partners in place to do this.
