Day Two of the Oxford Summer Academy for the Social Science of Health Innovation (SASHI)– The Women’s Health Revolution: Women’s and Reproductive Health Equity –held at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford 🏛️

Great to return to Oxford for a fireside chat with Dr Emma Thornton. I talked about exciting progress on our progesterone-Callavid® clinical trial (95% of patients have now received their first dose) and our very recent Wellcome Leap funding to help combat UTIs and AMR.

But we also went behind the curtain of these milestones: sharing the deep challenges we’ve faced getting to clinical stage, and the reality of countless rejections before securing grant funding. All tied together with what being a BCorp means in practice, the vital importance of finding patient, values-aligned capital, and the value of diversity of both experience (and inexperience!) in building a team.
